Sardella Day draws a sold-out crowd at the Mytilenian Brotherhood of Sydney

The aroma of sardines filled Canterbury connected Sunday, arsenic the Mytilenian Brotherhood of Sydney & NSW hosted its yearly Sardella Day astatine Mytilenian House.

The lawsuit was a sell-out, with families and friends packing the hallway to bask traditional dishes including BBQ, fried and oven-baked sardella, on with a variety of mezethakia prepared by Messinia Catering Services.

Music and dancing acceptable the festive tone, with performances by Ioannis Keligiannis, John Zaharis, Sam Christodoulidis, and Michael Platyrrahos, while the Sydney Greek Dancing School presented traditional Mytilenian dances earlier inviting guests to articulation in.

Community leaders and distinguished guests were besides successful attendance, including Peter Psomas, President of the Mytilenian Brotherhood, Emmanuel Valegeorgiou and Soula Gerasimou of the Samian Brotherhood of Sydney “O Lykourgos”, members of ELKA, writer and filmmaker Billy Cotsis, and respective past presidents of the Mytilenian Brotherhood.
