In a last section for the high-profile Novartis scandal, two erstwhile protected witnesses were convicted connected charges of mendacious testimony and libel. Filistor Destempasidis and Maria Marangeli, the erstwhile caput of Novartis enforcement Konstantinos Frouzis, were sentenced to 25 and 33 months, respectively, with a three-year suspension.
