Armed forces link with Florida National Guard

Greece and the United States announced a defence concern linking Greek equipped forces with the Florida National Guard, expanding practice beyond subject operations into civilian protection, officials said.

Defense Minister Nikos Dendias and US Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle said the statement follows talks betwixt Athens and Washington under a US state concern program. 

The concern includes associated subject training, maritime security, cyber defense, infrastructure extortion and catastrophe preparedness, including wildfire effect and exigency planning.

Dendias thanked US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and praised the ambassador’s role. 

Greece has antecedently trained with National Guards from Alabama and Tennessee, though extracurricular the ceremonial program, which has operated for 35 years and links US states with spouse countries worldwide.
